Stream Experiment Meeting

Stream Owners and Stream Teams meet at the start of every Sprint for a Stream Experiment Meeting to review hypothesis-backed experiments designed to streamline workflow along the Agile Stream, and it has a one-hour time-box.

In Scrum, the team’s goal is to convert work-items into working increments every Sprint. Similarly, in Agile Stream Framework, the goal is to continuously seek improvements in the operational model by eliminating impediments and discovering improvements.

To discover improvements, Stream Owners conduct experiments, observe the results, and determine if those choices have contributed to the shortening of lead or cycle times. See System Thinking and Cynefin.

During the Stream Experiment meeting, the Stream Owner shares the list of experiments for the upcoming Sprint and confirms the hypothesis and acceptance criteria. The Stream Team shares with Stream Owner any concerns that would impact the Stream Experiment’s execution and modify agreements to support the experiments.
